My child as never performed before, would that be a problem?
At Act2Act Youth Theatre, we welcome children of all abilities and experience levels, regardless of whether they have prior performance experience or are taking their first steps onto the stage. In addition to developing their singing, acting, and dancing skills, we prioritize building their confidence so that they feel excited and prepared to perform during show week.
My child is nervous about auditioning, do they need to prepare anything?
We understand that the word "audition" can sound scary but there is nothing to worry about. We ensure that the audition process is fun and relaxed. If your child would like to audition for a lead role all we ask is that they have a short song prepared which can be anything they are confident singing. Everything else will be taught on the day.
My child is 7 years old but wants to audition, is this ok?
Our program is designed for children aged 8 and above, as the three-hour rehearsals may be challenging for younger children. However if your child is particularly enthusiastic please contact us to arrange a trial.
My child missed the audition day, can they still join the cast?
We are happy to accept new members up until three months before each production. To book a free trial please call us on 07865704812 or email us at [email protected]
Are there any extra fees involved?
There are no additional fees or mandatory uniforms. The only additional cost is for performance tickets, which are always competitively priced.
Do they need to be part of the main group to participate in the holiday clubs?
Our holiday clubs are open to all, not just current Act2Act members. However, spaces are limited and fill up quickly, so we recommend booking your child's place as early as possible to avoid disappointment. Click here to find out about our next "show in a week" experience
Are there any other performance opportunities?
Every November/December we hold a showcase, celebrating the incredible talent we have in our cast. This gives all of the children the opportunity to sing solo and perform songs we wouldn't be able to do in our main shows.
